Tar Heel Teacher Tuition Discount

Eligibility Requirements  

To be eligible for the Tar Heel Teacher Tuition Discount, you must meet the following requirements:

✓ Be a current or aspiring prek-12 educator who lives or works in North Carolina.

✓ Register for the Sept. 16 webinar for North Carolina teachers (live attendance not required).

✓ Have a bachelor’s degree.

✓ Demonstrate English language proficiency.

✓ Have a government-issued photo ID.

✓ Meet any remaining admissions requirements for Moreland University.

✓ Apply to Moreland University and finalize your enrollment in a certification program between Sept. 17 and Oct. 15, 2026.

How to Apply

1. Apply for free to a Moreland University certification program. This discount applies to the 9-month TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Program or the 12-month M.Ed. with Teaching Credential.
   
   
2. Complete your enrollment, including your signed enrollment agreement and initial payment, between Sept. 17 and Oct. 15, 2026. (The discount will be automatically applied to your tuition.)
   
   
3. Start your program anytime. You can choose a later start date if that works better for your schedule, as long as you finalize your enrollment within the discount window.

Discounts will only be credited toward tuition deposits for eligible candidates who register for the Sept. 16 webinar and enroll in a qualified Moreland University certification pathway between Sept. 17 and Oct. 15, 2026. The discount cannot be converted to cash funds or applied for any other purpose. This discount cannot be combined with any other offer.
